Its been a long time

Things have been going strong around here. First my baby has gotten a girl friend. Then she broke up with him. It broke my heart to see him so sad. But he did get over it. Now he going to his first Prom. And yes he has a date. Guess who it's with. The old girl friend. It doesn't make sense to me why he is doing this, other than I have always told to keep his promises he makes. Why of all thing does he finally listen to me and keeps this one. : ( Will ujpdate after the prom on lhow thing went.

HeHeHe I've Been Bad

I've been a bad Blogger. Been busy with school starting and going back to work. well I was ready to go back to work. I enjoyed having the summer off, but I missed talking to all my friends who drive. Donnie's a junior this year. He gets to drive to school this year.

So Little Time

Well time have been flying sense school has been out. Can';t believe we go back in 28 days. But I've been busy, a little of this and a lot of that, Not much of nothing. hehehe Been to 2 crops sense school was out and enjoyed being with my scrapbook friends.

School Out

Well Thursday May 28, 2009 was the last day for school. Now I have off till August 10, 2009. What am I going to do all summer long? Well this weekend we're heading across the Bay with some friends to Bass Pro Shop to have dinner. Then Saturday we're heading to my brothers house, so my hubby can put in his front door. Sunday I think we are going to Dauphin Island to check out some friends that live down there. And look at the water so Donnie my son can get some worms wet. hehe Did I mention he loves to fish.

Some of the summer I think I will spend time playing this game my son has gotten me hooked on. Call Farm Town on Face Book. I think I have most of my scrapbooking friends playing also. hehe

Its the Time of the Year

That Donnie likes to planet a garden. Well his garden is doing great this year. I went to the Bryant CTC school to pick up some plants. I got tomatoes, squash. He picked up some different kinds of peppers, corn, okra, watermelons. Well we been eating squash for about a week now. Yummy.Here are some pictures of what he has growing.

I was gonna go to My friend Janie's camera club the first Thursday of the month. But at last I didn't make it. This months photo contest was to be of fire. So this is what I did. i think these turned out pretty good.

Candy Fun

I know not to give dogs candy, but every now in then. You just have too. Scooter loves Tootsie Rolls. I love to watch him eat them. When he eats them he jerks his head around and chews all crazy ways. Here are some pictures of him eating.

The BlackTruck

There has to be some kind of bad omen. Every time my son gets near my truck on Sundays, and we are loading something on it my truck gets hurt. This Sunday was no different. After redoing my kitchen, we had so left over wood. So my hubby was going to take my truck to work and get rid of the wood. So him and my son are loading the wood on the truck. Next thing I know my son is inside telling me "I'm sorry I didn't mean to break your window." I thought is was joking until my hubby come in and says " Did your son tell you what is did to your truck"? So out side I go, sure enough there is my back window "BROKEN". So I come right on in and call the the insurance company. They tell me that the window is cheaper if I buy it, than my deductable. I'm Like WHAT?. What does that mean? It means I have to replace the window. I c,all around and almost have a heart attack They want $306.00 for a back window. I told Safelite, I think I can find a better deal. I do. But I had to go around the world to get it replaced and put in. But I got away with only paying $115.00 for the whole thing. So now I've told my son, that the Black Truck is off limits on Sundays. Don't even think about it on Sundays.

Well I've done it!!!!

I finally put my son on our Car Insurance. I haven'tt done it before now because he just wasn't into driving. But now he wants to start driving to Karate class. Dad rode with him Monday night to make sure he knew how to get there. It's not what you think. The road between us and Karate Class was washed out in that big rain Storm we had last week. So we have to go around the world to get to his Karate class. But its only 6.5 mile from the house. It just seems to take a long way to get there because you have to take so many different roads to get there. I gave him direction, but I don't give good direction is what he told me. He wanted Daddy to show him the way. So tonight he goes back to Karate practice for his 1st degree brown belt test that is Thursday Night. I want sit still till he gets home. But at least he wants to drive now. Now if we could just get his car painted and ready for him to drive.

Can't Believe

My baby is turning 17, Saturday 21st. It seem like yesterday he was so small. Now he has grow into a nice young man.Taller than me. Where does the time go? I remember bringing you home, thinking what am I gonna do do? Now I still think the same thing. But now I have new worries. I hope he meets a nice girl. I hope he drives safe. I hope he knows God is always there. I hope he know that me and his daddy will love him no matter what. That family ties are stronger that water. Happy 17th Birthday Donnie. I love You.!!!!!


Well little did now I was goning to be redoing my kitchen and having a Birthday Party at the same time. I got this crazy ideal about a new floor. But it has grown into a full redo. New back door, new walls, new ceiling. Painting. I have a mess on my hands. But well worth all the trouble. Just should have waited till after Donnie Birthday. Oh well to late now. Thats another post. Will Have picture later.

Easter Bunny

My husband went to his Moms & Dads Sunday to work in their yard. He came home telling me that he had seen the Easter Bunny at Nana & Paws house. So when we went to the store he took me by to see the Bunnie. Sure enough there he was under Paws truck tire taking it easy. So you know I had to take some pictures.

This is my nephew Justine. He's eight. This was the weekend we went camping down at Dauphin Island during Mardi Gras. He was inside the camper playing with the Play Station. He would not smile at me to take his picture , so I took this one of him.

New Hair Do

OK, I've been letting my hair grow out. And it has got to the point that I hate it. So here is what it looks like now.




Went today and got it all cut off. Had some color added. And WOW!! I Love it.
Looks better in person. I got the ideal from a lady I saw at Mardi Grss. I follwed her around so I could get a picture of her hair. hehe I'm so bad. But hay, I do love the new do.

First Mardi Gras Parade

We we all went down to Dauphin Island Friday night and camp in the camp ground. I got up real early because I wanted some pictures of the sunrise. I was not disappointed. I got some beautiful pictures. and I also got some pictures of the Parade.

Happy Birthday

Today is my dads Birthday. He would have been 67 today. I lost my dad 19 years ago on January 19 to a Brain Aneurysm. I miss him so much. He loved Christmas. And loved to spend time with his family. He loved to fish, and we spent many hours out in the Gulf fishing. I guess my best memory of him is at Christmas of him making candy. His favorite thing to do was cooking in the kitchen or grilling out side on the grill.

The New Year

Well after fifteen days off from work, I had to go back to work. Wasn't to bad,but my hubby did turn off the alarm clock when it went off at 4:10 am this morning. Thank the lord I was up at 3:35am tossing in bed and could not go back to sleep. Well I did get up at 4:30 am got ready for work. Man I did not miss that big yellow bus. But it was nice to get back to work.

Will we had a great start to the New Year. We went to Uncle Randy's and Aunt Holly house to bring in the New Year. Lots of food , movies, games and Friends to bring it in. Oh I forgot the fireworks. Here are some pictures.

Christmas 08

Christmas is a very busy time of the year for us. But this year just wasn't the same. We usually have a party to go to just about every weekend. But this year it wasn't that way. My Aunt Levennia didn't have her Ugly Ornament Pretty Ornament party. My mom's side of the family didn't get together this year to play Dirty Santa. I so miss seeing my Moms sister. I don't get to see them to often. We did get to go to My hubby's Mom family Christmas party.

And of course our Christmas started out at Nana and Paws house Christmas Eve. Man at the food. Had a good time and enjoyed visiting with the family.

Then Christmas morning we get to see what Santa brought us. My son was surprise about his Wii Santa got him. And we have enjoyed playing it. I have become a Pro Bowler. hehehe I love his Wii.

And then we are off to have Christmas with my Brothers and Mom at my baby brothers house. Buy the time we all open up our gifts for each other, my brothers house is a mess. Paper and boxes everywhere. We had seafood this year, for our Christmas dinner. You can on;y eat so much Turkey. So after playing with the kids gifts and watching a movie we head home. We're pretty much wore out by the time we get home Christmas Day. I do enjoy it all. But then this year was a little different. But I love the memories I get Every Year.

Decorating

Well Thanksgiving has gone and my favorite Holiday is Coming. CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!
Our family Tradition is to decorate Thanksgiving morning for Christmas. So while the Cinnamon rolls are baking and the Coffee is brewing. My hubby and son are getting out the Christmas decorations. So between the cooking and decorating, we enjoy going over some of our favorite decorations and ornaments. Before long we have the House ready for Christmas. The picture of the Old Looking Santa is really an old Santa. It was my very first Santa. My Mom and Dad bought this when I was two. Mom passed it on to me about 16 years ago. I love this Santa. The Santa on my mantle is some I painted years ago. And finally my Christmas tree. This is my new tree, I got last year from HL after Christmas. I usually have more ornaments than tree. But that's because I always put my tree in the corner and I only decorate the front of the tree. Who's gonna see the back. Well this year my new tree spins around and I didn't have enough ornaments. I had to go buy some more. I Love My new Tree.

Thanksgiving Day....

Well Thanksgiving has come and gone, and I so thankful for my Family and Friends. We went to Holly's for our Thanksgiving dinner. And man did we have the food. As always way to much and it was all real good. We had Oven Turkey, Cajun Fried Turkey, Ham, dressing, gravy, squash Casserole, Corn casserole, black eye peas, devil eggs, potato salad, stir fried fresh veggies, green bean casserole, rolls and every kind of desert you can think of. And I'm sure I forgot somethings that where there.

And the Winner is ........................

WOW!!! I won General Layout for the GCS Page Contest in Orange Beach Nov/2008. I'm so happy. I did want so to win one of those prizes they had. But I'll take this one with a big smile on my face. There where so many, and I had the honor of winning over all those very talented ladies. Congrats to all that enter. What a awesome group of ladies and friends there. I only got about 6 hours of sleep in those three amazing day, but well worth the time and fun. Can't wait till next year. hehehehehe
